African Leadership Network - American Fund

Convening Africa's leaders for the prosperity of the continent.

African Leadership Network Foundation (KE, ZA) A Project of A | KBFUS Funds

An eclectic, inspiring and fast-paced gathering of hundreds of the world’s most influential leaders – crafting the future for Africa.

ALN promotes prosperity in Africa, builds relationships among Africa's leaders, and drives entrepreneurship and enterprises.

Acha Leke and Fred Swaniker were inspired to launch ALN after attending gatherings like the World Economic Forum (Davos), TED, the Aspen Institute and the Clinton Global Initiative. They came to understand the value of such networks, the scale of collaborations and business transactions that take place at these gatherings and how relationships between the world's most powerful leaders are facilitated in these environments. However they also noticed that Africa was usually on the periphery in these networks. They thus saw the strong need for a pan-African network of this nature to bring together the emerging leaders of Africa in a manner where Africa is centre-stage, not on the sidelines.

ALN also drives entrepreneurship and enterprise in Africa.
