Opera National de Lyon (FR) A Project of O | KBFUS Funds
The Opéra National de Lyon is a non profit association created in 1983.
It was the second opera house in France to be labeled "Opéra National", after the Opéra National de Paris, in 1986. In May 2017, the International Opera Awards rewarded the Opéra de Lyon for "Best Opera Company". Its missions are to produce, create and distribute operas, ballets and concerts.
Combinations of the classic repertoire, discoveries and new commissions have become the signature of the Opera de Lyon's work. Excellence and openness - these are the two complementary focuses of this opera house, which looks forward to share what it is doing with as many people as possible.
